"The Emperor´s New Clothes" was first published with "The Little Mermaid" on 7 April 1837 in Copenhagen, Denmark, as the third and final installment of the first collection of Andersen's Fairy Tales for Children.

PLOT: It tells of two swindlers who come to town to persuade the Emperor that they can make clothes which can only be seen by wise people. The Emperor pays more attention to his clothes than to his people, so...
