WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE ON YOUR PANCAKE?
Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, falls on Tuesday 4 March.
Pancake Day is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on
Ash Wednesday.
Pancake Day became a great way to use the foods that were given up
for Lent: milk, butter, and eggs.
Here you can see our kids designing their perfect pancake topping.

PANCAKE DAY
In Britain, Pancake Day is also known as Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Traditionally, it was a day of fun and feasting before the 40 days of Lent.
It´s the day when pancakes are eaten and when people celebrate the Pancake races.
How to make pancakes for Pancake Day
Pancake-racing is one of the more unlikely events on the British sporting calendar and takes place in many towns and villages each Shrove Tuesday. The skill lies not so much in the running of the race but in flipping - and catching - the pancake, which must be intact when the finishing line is reached.
