David Hockney, considered one of the most important British artists of the 20th century, will be our favourite painter during this term.
This project has been inspired by the Hockney exhibition:
 " David Hockney: A Bigger Picture ".
Working with different techniques, the children will make artworks from Hockney`s landscapes paintings, using pieces of fabric, papers, paint, crayons, feltpens...

May Day

The first day of the month of May is known as May Day.
The most well known symbol of May Day is the MAYPOLE. People dance around the trees trunks celebrating the end of winter and the start of the good weather.

London Bridge is falling down

This rhyme is often used in a children's singing game, which exists in a wide variety of forms. The most common is that two players make an arch while the others pass through in single file. The arch is then lowered at the song's end to "catch" a player.

APRIL´S FOOL´S DAY

Primary 3 to 6

History
No one can agree on the exact origin of ‘April Fool’s Day.’ Most people believe that the origin of April Fools originated in France. Before the use of the Gregorian calendar, New Year’s celebrations were on April 1st. New Year’s Day was changed to January 1st and those who still celebrated it on April 1st were called April fools and played tricks on them.
