Seabiscuit and Red Pollard - Primary 5&6

Last week we read in class an amazing story about a racehorse and a jockey, american heroes in the 1940s.
Seabiscuit was the racehorse, a champion and a symbol of hope to many US citizens during the Great Depression. Red Pollard was Seabiscuit’s jockey. He was blind in one eye. In 1940 they won the Santa Anita Handicap, California's most prestigious race. Both of them are still very popular in USA.
There are some movies about their story, one of them is called SEABISCUIT. Here you can watch the trailer.
